Instructions for Use
Dowload after purchase:
After receiving confirmation that the order has been paid, the download link will automatically be enabled. To view the link you must be logged into the site and go to the user menu. From the user menu click on "Your Orders made". The list of orders will appear. Click on the order number with the webcam viewer module was purchased.The order details will open. In the "File" column, click on the entry "mod_webcamviewer-vxxx" as indicated by the screenshot.
After downloading the module's zip folder, make a complete backup of the site where the installation will be performed, for safety. Go to the extensions menu and then to management; click on Install. Select Install from the compressed package. Then upload the webcamviewer zip folder and wait for the confirmation message.
Return to the extensions menu and click on the modules. Look for the webcamviewer module. Select the location to publish and publish it.Then go to the parameter settings and follow the instructions in the tooltips that will appear by placing the module on each item to be set.
Text before time: Here you can write a text that will appear as a caption on the images before the time.
Show the time: You can choose whether or not to show the time the picture is taken.
Time format: You can choose the format of the time 12h or 24h.
Show the date: You can choose whether or not to show the date the picture is taken.
Date format: You can choose in which format to show the date. DD / MM / YY or DD / Month / year or day week / DD / month / year or YYYY/MM/DD.
Single or sequenced images:
- Single: select if the webcam sends different images but always with the same name.
- Multiple: select if the webcam sends each image with a different name in a daily folder, that is, the webcam creates a different folder every day in which all the images of that day will end.URL of the image or the folder: write the URL in which the images will be found.
-Rapid: This type of setting only displays the last image loaded in the daily folder. In this case, however, the refresh is only for the image and not for the whole page of the site. There will be a refresh every 5 seconds. With this mode it is possible to show more than one webcam each in a different module simultaneously.
-Bootstrap: basically it is like the Multiple mode but more performing . It Uses Bootstrap and Jquery libraries.
With the exception of Rapid modality, it is not possible to publish multiple modules with the same modality on the same page. However, it is possible to publish them with different modality.
URL of the image or of the folder: write the URL in which the images will be found. For example, if the webcam sends images to the "webcam" folder located in the main root, the URL will be
- case single image: webcam/img.jpg
- case multiple images or rapid: webcam/
NOTE: in neither case should the domain of the site be written. In the case of multiple images with a longer path the url must always end with "/"; the form will automatically add the daily folder with the name created by the webcam.
How many images are to be shown: The number of images the form will show. That is, the last x images that have been sent by the webcam will be shown.
Image changeover time: how much time, in milliseconds, that will elapse before the form displays the next image.
Style to apply: you can apply a CSS style on the images to give the images a frame and a shadow.
Refresh of the page with countdown: If a value is set here, in seconds, the page of the site will be reloaded at the end of the countdown. This is deactivated leaving the countdown to zero. It can not be set with the RAPID display which has its own refresh time.
Fader: in the Multiple mode, if you select it, a pleasant fading effect is activated during opening and closing during image changes.
Load Bootstrap: Only in Bootstrap mode, this must be enabled. You can try to deactivate it if there are conflicts / malfunctions.
Load Jquery: Only in Bootstrap mode, this must be enabled. You can try to deactivate it if there are conflicts / malfunctions.
Images scrolling : Only in Bootstrap mode, if selected, the transition between one image and the other will no longer happen with fading effect but with a scroll.
Enable zoom: If enabled, when the mouse cursor is over the image, the image is magnified. Valid for both Multiple and Bootstrap modes.
Enable indicators: If enabled, the image scroll bar will be displayed. Valid for both Multiple and Bootstrap modes.
The updates will be downloaded from downloads user area of this site. Then, you should upload your zip pack into the Joomla site.
